3M Wind Vortex Generators are attached to the root section of a wind turbine blade on spots that are determined using a proprietary analytical process. They help improve performance by energizing airflow around the surface of the blade. This helps reduce flow separation and increases the energy generating performance of the entire turbine. 3M™ Wind Vortex Generators are made of durable thermoplastic and feature 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape for bonding to the blade surface. 3M Acrylic Foam Tapes are made with high performance acrylic adhesives, providing excellent long-term durability and holding power.
