Developed specifically for attaching trim and other exterior parts in automotive applications, 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape RT8004 features an acrylic adhesive formulated for a wide range of auto paint systems. This adhesive delivers excellent adhesion to traditional and advanced auto paint systems and helps support heavier parts such as spoilers and claddings. The adhesive is applied to both sides of a 0.4 mm viscoelastic acrylic foam core, which provides stress relaxation when exposed to high loads and maintains tight bond-line aesthetics under normal conditions. The inconspicuous gray color of 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape RT8004 helps ensure good bondline appearance. The orange liner provides easy one-piece release and efficient tape application.
